Reed makes music that feels like a dream you can almost remember, or a home video of a relative you barely knew, or a fuzzy picture of your old home. It’s deceptively simple, and yet you can’t help but feel like there is something indescribably important about it. Fusing aspects of indie folk, bedroom pop, and lo-fi indie rock, Reed manages to capture a sense of nostalgia and sentimentality seldom embodied today, and does so seemingly effortlessly.
